Need To Know: Special Edition: Planet Forward


In the context of the next Planet prediction on PBS, need to know there was a panel discussion focusing on how Rochester will help remove “the plane forward.” It focused on four key alternative energy sectors identified by Greater Rochester Enterprise: biofuels, fuel cells, solar energy and wind power. Our panelists were: Dan O’Connell, director of General Motors Fuel Cell Development Center (Fuel) Dr. Brian Landi, the KTH Nano Power Research Lab (solar), Michael Sawyer, Executive VP of Western New York Energy (biofuels) Kevin Schulte, MD for sustainable energy development (wind), we will also be featured local submissions for a national broadcast, which will premiere on Wednesday 15 April at 20:00 on WXXI-TV. Need to know broadcast Friday evening at 8:30 pm and Sunday at 12:30 pm on WXXI-TV 21 (Cable 11). There are also broadcast on WXXI-AM 1370 / FM WXXI-HD 91st 5-2 on Saturday at 6:30 pm
